Come from the Tiergarten side before the groups. The embassies and the Adlon on the square, the Reichstag two minutes north.

Checked October 10, 2026. That’s the day we last confirmed the hours, prices and closed days.

May to September for beer gardens, Tempelhofer Feld and light until 9:30 p.m.; July and August can be hot and the city empties in August. September and early October are the sweet spot. November to February is gray and dark by 4:30 p.m., but the museums are quiet and the Christmas markets run from late November.
Mitte around the Scheunenviertel for the sights on foot; Kreuzberg (Bergmannkiez or around Görlitzer Bahnhof) for food and nights; Prenzlauer Berg for cafés, parks and quiet streets. Anything inside the Ringbahn with an S or U station under five minutes away works; Berlin is big and you will ride every day.
U-Bahn, S-Bahn, trams in the east and buses, all on one ticket. Zone AB covers the whole city: a single is €4.00 (120 minutes, one direction), a 24-hour ticket €11.20, a four-trip card €12.40. Buy in the BVG app or at the machines and stamp paper tickets in the box before boarding. Inside each district, walk; between them, ride.

BER is in zone C. The FEX airport express and the RE and RB regional trains reach Hauptbahnhof in about 30 minutes, the S9 takes about 45 minutes to Alexanderplatz and the Stadtbahn; all cost the same €5.00 ABC single, bought in the BVG app or at the machines and stamped if paper. A taxi to Mitte costs many times the train fare and is no faster at peak times.
About €70 to €110 a day per person. Museums are €12 to €15 each, an Imbiss lunch €5 to €10, a sit-down dinner €20 to €35 with a beer, and a 24-hour transit ticket €11.20.
Plans change. Ask Chat and it proposes a reshuffled day you can apply, or just answers the question.
Day 1: the dome, the memorial's center, the Neues Museum and the Panorama are all indoors, and the Humboldt Forum takes the late afternoon. Waystop's hours check will flag a Monday, when Museum Island is shut.
No. It closed in October 2023 and the first wing reopens in 2027; the Ishtar Gate wing not for a decade after. The Panorama hall next door shows the altar sculptures for €14.
AB for everything in this plan. You need ABC for the airport (€5.00 single), Potsdam and Sachsenhausen; buy an ABC day ticket on the day you go.
East Side Gallery for the paintings on day 2, Bernauer Strasse for the history on day 3, and the stretch along the Topography of Terror in between. Checkpoint Charlie is a replica and a line.
