The deal, in plain language.
1. What Waystop is
Waystop is a trip planning and travel companion app made by Coexist Media LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("we"). It helps you build a day-by-day itinerary, answers questions about it, and checks places against Google Maps. It is not a travel agency. It does not sell flights, hotels, tickets or anything else, and it holds no bookings on your behalf.
2. Your account
You need an account to use the app. Keep your sign-in to yourself and tell us if you think someone else is using it. You must be at least 13 years old. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab; that removes your data as described in the privacy policy.
3. Answers are generated
Chat answers are produced by an AI model and can be wrong, out of date, or unsuitable for you. Opening hours, prices and travel times are checked against Google Maps where possible, but venues change them without notice. You are responsible for confirming anything that matters, such as hours, tickets, visas, medical needs and safety, with the venue or the relevant authority. Waystop is not a substitute for professional advice.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use Waystop to break the law, to harass anyone, to send content you do not have the right to share, or to try to extract, overload or reverse engineer the service. Do not use automated tools to send messages. We may limit or close accounts that abuse the service, including accounts that get around the daily cap.
5. Your content
Your trips, messages, imports and photos are yours. You give Waystop permission to store and process them in order to run the service, including sending them to the providers named in the privacy policy. If you share a trip, you give the people you share it with permission to see it. Do not import documents you are not allowed to use.
6. Purchases
Credit is sold in the Apple App Store and Google Play in fixed amounts. Purchases follow the store’s terms and refund rules, and prices are shown before you buy. Credit is added to your account and used by Chat, photo questions, web answers and imports: each answer is charged by what it costs to produce plus our margin, rounded up to the cent, and your balance is shown in the app. Credit does not expire, cannot be moved to another account or paid out, and on a trip you own it also pays for messages sent by the people you invited. Free accounts start with a small amount of credit. A Trip Pass or Yearly plan bought before credit was introduced keeps working as described when you bought it, until it ends: a Trip Pass covers one trip, for you and everyone you invited to it, and ends three days after that trip’s last day or 365 days after you started it, whichever comes first; Yearly renews every year until you cancel it in your store account at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Chat Packs bought before the change keep their messages.
7. Booking and shopping links
Some cards link to third-party booking sites and shops. Those sites are not ours; their terms apply, and any purchase is between you and them. Waystop may earn a commission on some links. This never affects what Chat recommends.
8. Third-party services
Waystop uses Google Maps Platform and the Google Gemini API. By using the app you also agree to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy as they apply to that content.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep Waystop available, but it can be interrupted, and features can change or be withdrawn. We will give reasonable notice of changes that reduce what a paid plan includes. These terms may be updated; the app will tell you about material changes before they take effect, and the date at the top is the version you are reading.
10. Liability
Waystop is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses that come from relying on a generated answer, a closed venue, a missed connection, or a third-party site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid Waystop in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that the law gives you as a consumer.
11. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Waystop and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Sections 3, 5, 7, 10 and 12 continue to apply after the agreement ends.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and we each consent to their jurisdiction, except that you keep any right to bring a claim in your own country if consumer law there gives you one.
