T-money and the light rail. Buy a T-money or Cashbee card at the convenience store in Gimhae arrivals and tap it on the light rail, the metro, every bus and most taxis. The light rail reaches Sasang in six minutes for ₩1,600, where you change to metro line 2. Rides are ₩1,600 to ₩1,800, and since September 2025 a light rail to metro change within 30 minutes costs one fare, not two.
The KTX from Seoul. Seoul Station to Busan Station takes 2 hours 15 on the fastest trains. On September 1, 2026 SRT was folded into Korail: the Suseo trains are now KTX-Sancheon, everything is booked on the Korail app, and the standard fare settled at about ₩54,400, a little under the old price.
Jagalchi. Pick from the street-level tanks and agree the price, then carry the bag upstairs where a restaurant cooks it for a table charge of a few thousand won a head; agree that fee too before you sit. Closed the first and third Tuesday of the month, and Visit Busan lists the fifth as well.
The ferry to Fukuoka. Camellia Line’s New Camellia is the only boat since the Queen Beetle was withdrawn in 2025. It sails from Busan Port’s international terminal, ten minutes on foot from Busan Station, most evenings and docks at Hakata at 7:30 a.m. From October 1, 2026 second class is ¥15,000 one way, plus a ₩14,000 fuel surcharge, a ₩6,000 port fee and a ₩1,000 tourism levy from Busan. Round-trip discounts have gone.
The drone show. Every Saturday at Gwangalli, free, about 12 minutes, a thousand drones over the bridge. Two shows a night: around 7 and 9 p.m. in the cooler months, an hour later in summer, cancelled in high wind. The month’s times are on gwangallimdrone.co.kr.
Haeundae. Book the Sky Capsule on bluelinepark.com two or three days ahead for a weekend: ₩50,000 for two seats, ₩60,000 for four, one way, and the sunset slots go first. The beach train below is ₩8,000 to ₩10,000 with no booking. The 2026 swimming season ran June 26 to September 15; outside it the sand is open and the water unwatched.
The film festival. The Busan International Film Festival runs October 6 to 15, 2026 at the Busan Cinema Center in Centum City. Haeundae hotels fill that week; sleep in Nampo or Seomyeon and ride in.
On the day. Check the drone site after lunch on Saturday for a wind cancellation. Save the Sky Capsule QR and the ferry booking in Waystop’s Documents, and its hours check will flag Jagalchi if you put it on a closed Tuesday.
