Packing list for a beach week
A week where the beach is the plan and the town is the evening: Barcelona, the Algarve, the Greek islands or Bali. Less than you think, plus the three things people forget: after-sun, motion tablets and a dry bag.
On a phone with Waystop installed, the button adds the list to your trip as a bag you can tick off. Otherwise copy it and paste it into Waystop’s Chat with “add this to my packing list”.

Tick things off as you go and this browser will remember. Changed your mind?

Days of 82 to 93°F (28 to 34°C), nights of 72 to 75°F (22 to 24°C) and a sea at 72 to 79°F (22 to 26°C). UV is 8 or higher from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., cloud included. Storms pass in about an hour.
- A heavy beach towelHotels and beach clubs provide them
- A beach umbrellaClubs rent them, and one will not fit in a carry-on.
- Sunscreen, SPF 50, in a big bottleIt costs less than at the airport and you will use more than you think. Buy the big bottle here.
- Flip-flopsThe pair you own is not the pair that survives a wet week
- Big bottles of waterKeep one in the fridge and one in the bag
Worth knowing
- Book the boat trip and the one nice dinner before you arrive; both fill in August.
- Beach clubs charge for loungers; the public strip beside them is the same sand.
- Put the ferry tickets and the villa's check-in code in Waystop's Documents; the signal on islands is patchy.
Trips to pack this for
Never leave the charger in the hotel again.
Waystop keeps a list for each bag and each person. On the morning you change hotels it walks you through a quick pack-up check, and Chat can suggest items to add when you ask what to bring.
